The files appeared on Beta Archive.
At the end of last week, there was information that Microsoft was suffering from data leak. An unknown user uploaded up to 32 TB of Microsoft “official and non-public installation images” to Beta Archive.
The company explains they contained data included in the Shared Source Kit, which belong to HDD, Wi-Fi and USB drivers. A website Beta Archive representative assumes this is related to a major Windows 10 release of March 24.
According to various sites, the source code leak occurred immediately after two men were arrested in the UK for allegedly attempting to hack Microsoft systems to obtain customer data. But so far no one has confirmed that these people were involved in the data leak.
